The Péters family has been continuously present in Le Mesnil-sur-Oger since 1858, an unusually long village association by Champagne standards. The Maison has passed through six generations under family operational leadership, with each generation extending the estate's vineyard portfolio and refining the winemaking approach. Rodolphe Péters took over operational leadership from his father François in the early 2000s, building on François's establishment of Cuvée Spéciale Les Chétillons as a single-vineyard prestige cuvée and adding the Réserve Oubliée perpetual reserve in 1988 (under François) and a range of single-vintage L'Esprit cuvées under his own tenure. Pierre Péters farms approximately 19 hectares of estate vineyards concentrated in Le Mesnil-sur-Oger and Oger, with smaller blocks in Avize, Cramant, and Chouilly. The Le Mesnil concentration includes the prestigious Les Chétillons parcel, a 1.18-hectare single-vineyard site with old-vine Chardonnay that has produced Pierre Péters' most celebrated cuvée.
