Luís Duarte Vinhos

Luís Duarte was born in Angola in 1966 and returned to Portugal at age nine. He completed his winemaking studies at the Universidade de Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro in 1989, establishing a foundation in traditional Portuguese viticulture and winemaking. His career quickly distinguished itself through a combination of consulting work and his own label, earning national recognition well before founding Luís Duarte Vinhos.

Luís Duarte founded his personal label in 2007, headquartered in Reguengos de Monsaraz in the Baixo Alentejo. The winery produces a broad portfolio of brands, including Rubrica, Monte do Carrapatelo, Rapariga da Quinta, Artefacto, Materia, Miragem, and Maravista.
