Camel Valley Vineyard is a Royal Warrant-holding Cornish estate producing award-winning sparkling wines since 1989. Founded by ex-RAF pilot Bob Lindo and his wife Annie, the family vineyard now has 24,000 vines on south-facing slopes near the Camel River. Sparkling wines account for 75% of production, and the estate's rosé sparkling has been named best in the world three times.

History and Origins
Camel Valley Vineyard was established in 1989 by Bob Lindo, an ex-RAF pilot, and his wife Annie. The couple initially farmed sheep and cattle on their 82-acre Cornish farm before planting an initial 8,000 vines. Their very first wine won a medal at the national English Wine competition, setting the tone for a long record of award wins. The estate is now recognised as one of the original pioneers of modern English wine.

Location and Terroir
Camel Valley sits near the famous Camel River in Cornwall, positioned on south-facing hillside slopes at 20 to 50 metres above sea level. The vineyard lies within a unique northerly microclimate strip running from Newquay to Camel Valley, approximately 10 miles from the coastline in the warmest and lowest-rainfall position available in Cornwall. Well-draining loam soils and sun-drenched slopes combine to create conditions well-suited to viticulture at this latitude.

Camel Valley grows eight varieties including Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Seyval Blanc, Bacchus, Pinot Blanc, Reichensteiner, Dornfelder, and Rondo. Traditional method sparkling wines dominate output at 75% of production, with still white wines and rosé sparkling wines making up the remainder. The estate's sparkling rosé has achieved international recognition, winning best rosé sparkling in the world on three separate occasions.
