📜History

The Tintero story begins in 1900, when Pierre Tintero, born in France, arrived in Piedmont and married local widow Rosina Cortese. The estate began bottling Dolcetto as early as 1914. After World War II, brothers Giovanni and Carlo sold Moscato grapes to Cinzano and Martini rather than producing estate wine. The shift toward independent production came in the 1980s, when Elvio began experimenting with frizzante winemaking. A major milestone arrived in 1993, when Moscato d'Asti received DOCG status. Today, fourth-generation Marco Tintero and his partner Cinzia continue the family tradition.
