Entrepreneur Lilo Gurnani established York Winery in 2006, with commercial wine production launching in 2008. The winery grew into one of the notable boutique producers within the Nashik Valley Wine Region. York Winery has since been acquired by Sula Vineyards, the dominant producer in Nashik and one of India's largest wine companies.
